So here today I still want to share more basic movements that can take care of the scalp at home. This action can soothe our scalp, that is, a head massage.
These actions will not use you a lot of time. You can also watch TV. You can massage your head with nothing in your hands, or just take a shower. You can also spray some scalp tonic then massage. Maybe some people don’t have scalp tonic at home now. It doesn’t matter. You can also massage. You can also wait until the condition is better and come to our salon to buy scalp tonic and the like. This head massage action can soothe our head so that our head will not be hard. Some people may have hair loss problem on the top of the head because the scalp is too hard, and some may be facing the computer during work. Cause the trouble with this problem. So everyone can massage their head when they are free and let it relax.
Thank you and take care everyone.

Now the condition in Singapore is getting more and more serious. Everyone must stay at home to ensure their own safety and take care of their personal hygiene. The so-called protecting yourself first can protect the family and friends around you.
Here I want to share with you some basic actions to protect your scalp. This action takes only 5 to 10 minutes, it is to dry the scalp.
Some people are not used to drying their scalp after showering, and let the hair drip. Perhaps, in this situation, if people do not go out, they will feel that there is no need to dry their hair. Wrong, in fact, we don't care about men and women. When we take a shower, we must blow dry the scalp and hair. Maybe some women with long hair will feel lazy to blow their hair dry, but at least we must blow dry the scalp. Because in fact, if we don't dry our scalp from time to time, it will cause us to have scalp problems. Because the scalp is very important, it is like if a tree is better, but the soil is not good, it will always grow less well, just like our scalp, if we do n’t take care of our scalp, how to produce a good one what about hair? So starting with the most basic movements, getting used to it slowly, you won't feel troublesome. After this condition is cured, everyone can come to our salon for scalp care.
See you.
Thank you.

When it comes down to haircare, the applicable products might just be the first thing that comes to mind. Shampoo, conditioner, hair mask, serum oil, you name it. These are all products that we see so often in the haircare section of the drugstore or the salon we frequent.
Then again, we must not forget about the tools, hair brushes, combs, towels, dryers, etc.
These tools play an important part of our personal hair care routine too.
Our hair is said to be treated gently like that of a skin, especially when it comes to towel drying.
Did you know that when the hair is wet, the cuticles around the hair follicle gets raised and in this state it is more susceptible to damage. And according to Aquis, "When hair absorbs water it causes swelling and stretching, weakening the hair up to 57%."
Therefore towel drying the hair with a regular cotton towel such as bath towels and specifically rubbing the towel back and forth on the hair can create an enormous friction that not only damages the cuticles on the hair but allows the hair to tangled easily.
Damaged cuticles can greatly reduce the shine on the hair, making it look dry and frizzy. For damaged hair, it may even cause breakage.
These types of towels can be easily found online, but I would like to recommend a highly raved brand, Aquis. They carry a range of towels specially made for both fine and thick hair types.

It's never too late to get started on a good hair care routine for a healthy and shiny looking hair that you can have.
Thank you for reading. Till next time!

How have you been?
It seems like public holiday today, but to me the atmosphere doesn't feel so.
Anyway it is good to have a good weather today.
Today I will change the quilt cover. From an IKEA quilt cover to a Muji one.
Such trivial things simply make me happy.
All right, I'd like to ask a question
When you are resting and relaxing at home, what kind of hair styling products do you use? Don't use? Ohhhh please use!!
When it comes to hair styling in Singapore it has to be quite stringent as much as laws of this country are.
By the way in my case for hair styling products, I will choose hair oil.
The oil can moderately style and add gloss to your hair and at the same time increases the level of resistance to moisture loss as well due to the properties of oil and water.
And kill two birds with one stone, we can use it as body oil.
Normally I use it on the day basis.
The lemongrass fragrance is natural and yet familiar.
Such small matters contribute for lot of leeway in my mind, and I think makes me more thoughtful and kind of people around me and myself.
Sometimes soon I will be going to post about easy hair arrangements using oil.
Please look forward to it.
See you.

How-To: Curling iron

Hello, this is receptionist Clara from Hair Salon Tokyo MICHAELA. From today I would like to share some styling tips you can try at home using a curling iron.
I have naturally straight and fine hair and I often use the curling iron to style my hair.
For those with naturally straight hair, I believe they would or if not most of the time wear it straight, occasionally putting it into a ponytail or a bun. Whether short and straight or long and straight.
It's a classic style, simple.
However, by curling straight hair it creates more texture and movement to the hair.
I believe that many have been there, having bought a curling iron or straightening iron to style our hair but seldom use it? And when we get down to using it for perhaps that special occasion we fumble about and the result, a badly done hair and a painful burn. Ouch.
And from all the experiences in a hair salon, we can't help but to marvel at the magic hands of the person who styled your hair.
'How did they do it, I can't even do the same myself''
The truth is, having someone who does it behind the chair for you versus doing it yourself from the front is completely different.
As with any sort of skill, constant practice by yourself makes room for improvisation to get a hang of it.
Tip. If you own a curler with adjustable temperature settings, do consult your stylist on the best temperature for your hair to avoid burning or damaging your hair.
Let me introduce to you some basics to follow.
There are 2 types of curl direction:
Inward Curl, the hair curls inwards diagonally toward the face. The clamp of the curling iron is on the outer part of the section, facing out.
Outward Curl, the hair curls outwards diagonally away from the face. The clamp is on the inner part of the section facing the face.
There are various ways and styles of curling as done by many others.
So here I will share my usual hair curling routine.
There will be 4 separate sections from the mid back to the mid ear line on each side and 2 or 3 sections from mid ear to front on each side.
Start off by sectioning the hair from the middle at the back into two, bringing the hair to the front. Further sectioning of the back most hair.
I find that working on the backmost section near the nape to the front makes the sectioning much easier as the shoulder can easily separate the curled and uncurled hair.
Section out the hair in one bundle with two hands, leave one hand firmly holding on close to the ends with one hand at a 45 degrees angle, use the other hand to grab the curler to place at mid length, clamp down gently before starting at to wind the section 45 degree angle round around the barrel.
Hold for a few seconds before lightly releasing the hold on the handle to slide down to wind and hold again and gradually to the ends.
Winding patterns for the back area sections:
Outward → Outward → Inward → Outward
OR
Outward → Inward → Outward → Inward
Remaining sections in front are mostly outward winding. However do make smaller sections compared to the back area.
Once done, hair oil or styling products of your choice can be used.
That's all and till next time!
