Hello! I’ve been a hair stylist in Hair Salon Tokyo MICHAELA from it was born and people call me Kenta .
It is a hot day and I am spending the day at home doing my best in work. So I wondered about many things and how to have a simple life.
Hi everyone today I’m going to discuss about a proverb, “Little and often fills the purse”.
Everybody knows that to acquire any sort of ability, the best way is to bear good habits.
However sometimes we are unable to continue it because day by day, we are getting busy and in the midst of all we forget the purpose, soley because we didn’t take the time to consider it.
So far I’m trying to read this book is named “A scientifically easier technique of achieving”
So far I’m trying to read this book is named A scientifically easier technique of achieving. Normally I would read novels and stories but now I read these kinds of book as recommended by my boss for my own improvement.
Since a long time ago I’ve read business books so many times, and I have always thought “Oh, these books say almost same things”
Basically if you want to achieve something, the most important part is to set the goal, to make new habits in training yourself effectively, and ultimately to just do and follow through it until you reach your goal.
I used to believe that the most important things to achieve your goals are “guts, spirit and effort”
Yes and I still agree with that however skills and information are always changing and the motivation to improve everyday can be affected.
Of course sometimes even I fail too, such as going on a light diet to manage my weight.
Therefore this book teaches not only about relaxation but also on how to achieve your goals simply.
When you have time I highly recommend you to try reading this book as it is very helpful, thank you so much!
What is a receptionist?

Hello, this is Clara, the receptionist of Hair Salon Tokyo MICHAELA.
Yesterday I shared about the main duties a receptionist goes through. Today's topic will be about what it takes to being a receptionist in a hair salon.
For the past month we have had a number of applicants who were applying for the part-time receptionist position.
I once said this in 2017 "I would always look forward to each new day with enthusiasm. For all the changes old and new I’ve gone through, each day is never the same where new ideas and new challenges are presented." I personally want to bookmark this as it brings a sense of spirit.
Recently I read that a receptionist plays a vital role in the salon as with the salon owner. The level of thinking has to be in-lined with the salon's vision and the core values of the team which is true, as receptionists can be considered as cornerstones of the team that runs the salon.
Work can just be work but it is never the same without improvements.
Salon management itself, is a wide array of duties ranging from the back end to the front line services and being a frontline employee is a constant activity that runs round the clock with duties lined up one another, one can tell be able to pinpoint in areas lacking and also to mention new areas that could be explored.
It requires a great deal of tenacity, attention, patience and meticulous effort as a team player as well as a heart and passion for customer service. Naturally, the joys of being in this line lies with the direct contact with customers. The time dedicated for customers amidst all other matters is what being a receptionist is.
As I said in my profile, I still do believe that in MICHAELA that the experience is more than just getting the hair done.
That's all for now. Till next time!
P.S. This post goes out to interested applicants, if it seems befitting for you I extend my warm invitation to apply. To the others, thank you for reading.
What I learn in this book

I am Carol from Hair Salon Tokyo Michael, and here I want to share with you a book I saw today. This book gives me another perspective on the service industry knowledge. The title of this book is < the customers rules >. In this book, I saw that these short sentences are very meaningful. For example, "The emotional element isas-even more important than-the money that change hand.", "Customers also need to emotional satisfaction of being treated like the most important " and " the greek word for "hospitality" is philocenia, which literally means "love of strangers",
these short sentences let me understand that we do not In order to benefit but ignore the customer's emotions, we have to treat customers like our own family and friends. These small actions can make customers feel deeply. Finally I want to tell you all that we can encounter a fate. One enemy is worse than one friend.
Thank you.

What's your hair color?

Good day! This receptionist Clara from Hair Salon Tokyo MICHAELA.
Colored hair is like a visual art canvas that you carry around where you go in all styles, it becomes part of your image that people perceive. Be it that classic brown or the purple hair that your friends admire so much. Color itself draws inspiration and also leaves a stronger impression on others.
Colours done on bleached hair do not last, fading out even faster with frequent washes. Especially in Singapore, the hot and humid weather leaves room for no choice for daily washes. So the newly colored locks may just very well last through a month or less. At the end, the yellow, orange, red tones we all tell the stylist we dislike becomes ever so prominent that makes you want to get a new color so bad.
Color pigment molecules sizes vary according to color and with the biggest in size occurring in the color red, it simply makes it much easier for it to come off during perspiration or even just a hair wash. If you are planning to go red for your next color, do not wear a white top as the color from your hair will leave a stain on the fabric. Do take care of your pillow sheets too.
Perhaps some have tried color shampoo or color treatment to refresh the hair color. In MICHAELA, some customers who just had their hair colored (without bleach) were curious about the color shampoo/treatment on our product shelf.

Truth is, color pigmented shampoo and treatment would be recommended to use on bleached hair. For them they would benefit more using these products. On the classic brown unbleached hair whether warm-toned or cool-toned, only a certain amount of pigment depending on the type of color product and lightness of the hair, will be transferred onto the hair, visible upon close sight, not obvious from a meter's glance. This added color I feel only lasts for about 2 days and gone with the usual hairwashes. And for black hair, no change in color, the product will just be a regular shampoo or treatment.
